Michele Seugling, M.A.
I'm a grant writing consultant with 12 years of experience in the nonprofit industry. I help clients in New Jersey and across the United States develop compelling proposals and earn grants from a variety of private foundations, corporate foundations, and government sources.
Over these years, I have assisted many organizations in becoming grant ready, managed complex government applications involving a coalition of partners, and consistently finalized applications ahead of schedule. Clients supported have received awards ranging from $10,000 to over $1 million.
I write persuasive narratives that blend relevant statistics with emotional appeal. My consulting services also include evaluating the strength of a proposed program and its alignment with the funder's priorities, assessing and organizing application requirements, and preparing materials for submission. Areas of concentration include human and community services, mental health, support for veterans, and animal-assisted services.
Prior to grant and technical writing, I led a successful career as an editor in publishing. My love for words is lifelong and includes earning a master’s degree in English, a graduate certificate in technical communication with grant writing coursework, and continuing education in my field.
